2019 Hamel Baseball Volunteer Registration

Welcome

Welcome to the 2019 Hamel Baseball Coach and Volunteer Registration!

The safety and well-being of all participants in the Hamel Baseball program is paramount. As adults, we want to ensure that the young people playing in the Hamel Baseball program are able to grow up happy, healthy and, above all, safe. Whether they are our children, or the children of others, each of us has a responsibility to protect them. All volunteers (including coaches) that will have regular contact with participants in the Hamel Baseball program are required to complete this registration.

In this registration session, you will complete the following:

  • Background Screening
  • Concussion Training (only if volunteering as a coach)
  • After completing this registration session you will receive an email with instructions for completing online Abuse Prevention Training.
ALL VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THIS TRAINING BEFORE THE SEASON BEGINS.
Thank you for your cooperation and helping to ensure that Hamel Baseball is a safe environment for our community's kids.

In 1998, Little League International launched its Child Protection Program to educate local league volunteers, with the goal of creating local league programs where only those who have the best interests of children in mind are involved. Little League’s Child Protection Program was updated in 2018 to reflect the mandates set forth by the “Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Act of 2017,” which requires that all amateur sports organizations, which participate in an interstate or international amateur athletic competition and whose membership includes any adult who is in regular contact with an amateur athlete who is a minor, must report suspected child abuse, including sexual abuse, within 24 hours to law enforcement.

All local Little Leagues are required to conduct background checks on managers, coaches, board of directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular services to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams.

In this registration, you will be asked information which will be used to conduct a background screening by Southeastern Security Consultants Inc. You will also be required to complete the Abuse Prevention Systems player safety training. Volunteer coaches registering will also need to provide documentation that you have successfully completed concussion training.

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. You will receive an email upon completion of your registration.
